This is Final Version of the Script.
Tested - is Working and now it's time for your help to DEBUG it if any Bugs appears.

Changed Completely the mounting Method.
Now you can Just Plug - Unplug the USB HDDs without any Problem with mounting and Starting the Services.
You don't have to worry if you use 2 HDDs about the USB port you have to use.
Just Plug the optware & Data HDDs and mounting is auto with correct assignment.

Please report me about your installation problems or any BUG.

After some Corrections on Valerekvb Optware Package, we are able to use this script on any tomato firmware.

Its a really nice script, with some very popular apps and i hope you will like it also.


- Added the ability to install programs on TWO HDD (In the right pane - HDD connected: ONE or TWO) (the second disc - one partition in ext3 - / tmp/harddisk2). Connectivity: HDD-1 lower USB, HDD-2 upper.
- Added plugin datadir-3.1 WEB ruTorrent to replace the current data directory to another torrent
- Added a new version of the plug for RGhost letitbit.net
- Added a new program IPKG (The ipkg web frontend) http://my.router/cgi-bin/package.cgi - Management IPKG-packets via WEB-face (removal, installation, upgrade, viewing)
- Changed the installation configuration file Transmission
- Changed the file pre-shutdown, see the article
- Added the ability to proxy authentication version of the installation script and copyright
- Changes at Site Status Router (menu [e]) screenshot:
a) correct information is displayed in different browsers
b) added display of number of employed wa / free space on two HDD
c) added display the version number of the installation script (click the mouse and you are in this topic)
g) added display of numbers on the firmware version installed on your router (mouse click and you're on FTP firmware)
d) changed instead RRD graphs are now vnStat
e) added to the list of programs are missing and a new program IPKG (The ipkg web frontend)

Before we Continue i must say that This Release is tested and working fine on my ASUS RT-N16 and i hope the same to you.
For sure some BUGs will appears.
But i will support it by make new Patches when needed.

You don't have to worry about mounting. You just plug the USB HDDs and always will get the correct mounting even you swap the USB ports.

Installation Procedure

Entire Installation may last 10 - 60 Minutes or more depending from what you select and how fast is your Disk and your Router.
So be patient and watch the installation Procedure or Drink a Coffee...

If all went OK the router will Reboot and PLEASE Wait at Least 5-10 Minutes Before try to ACCESS any Page on Your Router.
This is normal because if your router don't have much RAM like mine ASUS RT-N16, it use SWAP disk for loading and makes it Slow.

Depending from want you installed, Scripts after the Boot are loading and may this time your router will LAG due to Heavy DUTTY.

When all Scripts loaded and Running, Then you can TRY to ACCESS your APPS...

hi LA I have been reading ur site since last month. I think Valerakvb Mod is a good way to put ur hard work. There is no need to re-invent the wheel and do double effort. Ya?

I have the wrt54gl and when i flashed kernel 2.6 from linksysinfo i discovered ASUS RT-N16 with full tomato support and was very excited. I bought it last week finally and I am very impressed with the routing and surfing. I do a lot of p2p of my hundreds of Linux DVD ISO files. Now my router does not slow down with full capacity traffic. : )

I shall wait to flash the release for tonight.

Yes, Valerakvb Optware is a really nice package with a very good menu engine.
I also use this menu engine to mine Package.

But as you know this package is written for OLEGs Firmware.
This mean that uses many references from OLEG firmware variables and folder trees.

So the script needs to be corrected to run on tomato Firmware and match their needs.

I think it will be ready in a few hours for Publish and after that i will focus on mine Package with alot more options and apps for installation.

Ok. Today I will install optware first time. I plan to use rutorrent, but first i want to learn how to backup/move the settings & .torrent for rutorrent.

<offtopic> On members list i see teddy_bear joined here.

This is GREAT, and maybe we have Support for Tomato Firmware .

• SET USB Automount OFF.
• If you have any other scripts installed, then delete any script from USB command windows or firewall - init_script etc.
• Reboot
• Run on Putty the next commands.
